Relator Compass Corporation seeks review of a decision of the Court of Appeals that ordered dismissal, for lack of jurisdiction, of its mandamus action under ORS 227.178(7). State ex rel. Compass Corp. v. City of Lake Oswego, 121 Or.App. 486, 856 P.2d 319 (1993). The issue is whether the defendant City of Lake Oswegos (City) denial of relators partition application deprived the circuit court of authority under ORS 227.178(7) to issue a writ of mandamus to Citys governing body to compel approval of the application. Our answer to that question is "no." Accordingly, we reverse the decision of the Court of Appeals.
